In no time, Munjya has found a place amongst the Top-10 weekends of 2024 when it comes to Bollywood films. Not that many films have seen huge weekends this year. Still, there have been 10-15 notable films that have seen some kind of openings at least and one didn't expect Munjya to break through that range. However, it has managed to do so and that too by not just earning a good first day for itself [Rs. 4.21 crores] but after showing very good growth over the weekend which saw the numbers multiply in a big way.
This was seen on Sunday as well when as much as Rs. 8.43 crores came in. This is easily one of the best days that Bollywood has seen since the start of the year and amongst all the earners of the year, Munjya clearly has the lowest budget of them all. Still, it is seeing excellent collections coming its way which are comparable to the best of the best of the year, and that by itself says a lot about the acceptance that it has managed.
The horror comedy has now reached Rs. 20.04 crores and by virtue of this number itself the film is already a hit. Reason being that even if this was the lifetime score of the film, it would have been considered as a surprise success and here such numbers have come in just three days with so much more still to come. In fact, the word of mouth will spread even more massively from here and hence one just can't put a final number against the film till at least the first week is through.
