Srikanth Box Office: Film goes past Rs. 6 crores mark in 2 days, aims for a weekend close to Rs. 12 crores

After playing in theatres for two days, Srikanth has now crossed the Rs. 6 crores mark at the box office. After bringing in Rs. 2.41 crores on Friday, the film grew to Rs. 4.26 crores on Saturday. This is a real solid growth for the film and indicates that something big could well be round the corner. The footfalls have gone up quite well and the makers would look forward to further momentum today as well.

The Rajkummar Rao starrer now stands at Rs. 6.67 crores and pre-pandemic, something like this used to be the first day number of the content films. The situation has changed so much in the last four years, and everything is boiling down to sheer word of mouth for films with this kind of genre, star cast, stage and set up. In case of Srikanth, there is nothing really wrong as the feedback too ranges from decent to good to very good. There is no negative voice per se against the film which means all it needs now is for more and more people to talk about it.

A few weeks back Madgaon Express had opened at Rs. 1.63 crore and then collected Rs. 8.38 crores over the weekend. Now Srikanth has already come close to that number in two days and the real deal would be to somehow take a substantial enough jump today so that the weekend can go past the Rs. 12 crores mark. That would give it good enough platform to ensure a stable Monday.
